Throughout the year, each school advertises information in the office and online about how to reach out to the Board Chair if interested in learning more about serving on the board. The board will also host one informational meeting each fall. The Boad Chair, Mike Wallace, can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interested parents or other individuals can attend the meeting and complete the Board Member Application Form below:
Applicants must meet with the Board Chair, Vice Chair and/or Governance Committee Chair.
After meeting with the board chairs and/or governance committee chair, parents will be invited to attend a board meeting to introduce themselves to the board.
The board governance committee will discuss all applicants and evaluate them based on commitment to the organization, relevant experience, and current board composition. If the board governance committee decides to invite the parent onto the board, an official vote will be scheduled at the next full board meeting.
* This process will be used for all prospective board members, including parent representatives. In the case that the parent representative leaves the board without any parent representatives, each school will be asked to provide the names of 3 potential candidates to the Board Chair.
